Question: What is a camera lift and how do I control it in the app?

The camera lift is a motorised unit that automatically retracts the camera above the deckhead panel. It is operated using the privacy button on the camera view window.

Question: What does Privacy Mode do on a camera and when should I use it?

To activate privacy mode on a camera, press the power icon on the camera pop-up window. Once enabled, the live stream and recording for that specific camera will be disabled. If the camera is fitted with a motorised lift, it will also retract automatically. To resume normal operation, press the power icon on the camera window again. This can be done as a group action using the Macro function.

Privacy mode is used when those on board require unrecorded privacy in areas covered by security cameras.

Question: How do I create and save a new PTZ preset position for a camera?

  1. Open Layouts and select the required PTZ camera. Ensure the camera supports PTZ (Pan, Tilt and Zoom) functionality.
  2. Press the camera’s video feed. A toolbar will appear at the top of the video window.
  3. Select the Joystick icon to display the virtual PTZ controls.
  4. Use the virtual joystick to move the camera to the desired position. Adjust the zoom if required.
  5. Once the camera is positioned correctly, select the Presets button (the menu icon) from the same toolbar. This will open the Presets panel on the right-hand side.
  6. At the bottom of the presets list, click + New Preset.
  7. Enter a descriptive name for the preset and save it.

Your new preset can now be recalled at any time from the Presets panel.

To choose a preset, select the camera and open the preset panel as you did above.
