Integrations - Paxton Net2

The Paxton agent adds support for Paxton / Net2 access control - doors and readers - by connecting to the Net2 API on the Paxton server. Once configured, Paxton doors and readers appear as devices in YachtAware and can be controlled, monitored, and used in access rules, automation, and macros.

Configuration

Set these fields on the Paxton row in Settings → Modules & Devices:

Field Description
Server URL Address of the Paxton Net2 server (the Net2 API endpoint, typically the Net2 VM).
Username A Net2 API user account. This account must have access rights to the doors you want to control.
Password Password for the Net2 API user.
Client ID The Net2 API client identifier issued for the integration.

The API user account must have access rights to a door in Net2 for that door to be controllable via YachtAware. Readers are discovered separately from doors, so a reader can appear even if its door does not.

After saving with Apply Config, run Scan for Devices to import the Paxton doors and readers.

Door Commands

Paxton doors expose the standard door commands in the Door Callout:

Command Effect
Release Momentarily releases the latch so the door can be opened once, then re-secures.
Unlock Holds the door open (unlocked) until it is locked again - see How To: Hold a Door Open.
Lock Secures the door.

Paxton alarms raised on a door can be acknowledged from the Aware alarm overlay (see Alarms).

Events

In addition to access events (door-access, reader-auth), the Paxton agent reports door and controller-health events, including door forced open, door left open, tamper (and tamper restored), relock, and ACU (controller) health signals - mains power failed/restored and controller not-responding/online. These are how operators learn that a controller has lost power or dropped off the network. See Device Events.

Troubleshooting

Common Paxton issues (ACU beeping, check-in/out delay, doors greyed out, doors not appearing in discovery) are covered in Paxton troubleshooting.
