Settings — Device Groups

Device Groups let you organise physical devices into named logical collections. Groups can be referenced in automation commands and access rules instead of targeting individual devices.

Page Layout

Standard two-column settings layout:

Left — Group List: searchable list with a + Add button (requires device-group:create).
Right — Group Detail Panel: opens when a group is selected at /settings/device-groups/:id.

Create New Device Group

Clicking + opens the Create New Device Group dialog:

Field	Description
Display Name	Required

Saving creates the group and navigates to its detail panel.

Group Detail Panel

The detail panel shows:

Name — editable (requires device-group:update)
Member device list — all devices in this group
Delete Device Group button — requires confirmation; device-group:delete permission

Adding Devices to a Group

Devices are added to a group from the group detail panel using a device picker. Members can be removed individually.
