How To: Use Edit Mode

Manual

Edit Mode allows authorised users to modify Layout and View configurations — adding, moving, resizing, or removing device overlays and camera tiles.

Enter Edit Mode

1. Navigate to a Layout or View.
2. Click the Edit button in the top toolbar (pencil icon).
3. The canvas switches to edit mode — device overlays become draggable and resizable.

Layout Edit Mode

In a Layout:

• Drag device overlays to reposition them on the floor-plan map.
• Resize overlays by dragging the corner handles.
• Add devices using the device picker panel.
• Remove overlays by selecting and deleting.

View Edit Mode

In a View:

• Add camera tiles to the grid.
• Rearrange tiles by dragging.
• Remove tiles from the grid.

Save Changes

Click Save to confirm changes or Cancel to discard. Exiting edit mode without saving will prompt a confirmation if there are unsaved changes.
