Settings — Access Control

Settings Manual

The Access Control settings page manages the integration between AwareVue and external access-control agents (providers/authorities). Each agent synchronises people, credentials, and access rules from a third-party system. Operators can monitor agent status, trigger a full sync, cancel an in-progress sync, and remove a disconnected agent.

Access Control Agents

Each row shows:

Element Description
Agent ID Provider identifier (e.g. module name)
Status chip Running (active) or Unavailable (offline)
Last Sync Error Shown in red when the most recent sync completed with an error
Sync progress bar Visible while a sync is in progress (0–100%)

Actions

Button Available when Permission Description
Sync All Access Data Agent is Running, no sync in progress access-authority:sync Triggers a full synchronisation of all people, credentials, and rules
Cancel Sync is in progress Cancels the currently running sync
Remove Agent Agent is Unavailable access-authority:delete Removes the agent registration; requires confirmation

Removing an agent stops access control synchronisation across all providers. The agent must be restarted (re-enabled in Modules & Devices) to resume.
