Camera Callout

Layouts Manual

The Camera Callout opens when a camera device overlay is clicked on a Layout canvas. It is a resizable, draggable floating window (default 711 × 400 px) that provides live and playback video along with a full set of camera management controls.


Default View — Live Stream

When opened, the callout displays the camera’s live video stream. If the user lacks the camera:live permission, a “no permission” message is shown instead. If the camera feed is disabled or offline, a No Camera Feed overlay is displayed.

A stream selector bar (live mode only) allows switching between available streams if multiple are configured.


Toolbar

The toolbar auto-hides after a short period of inactivity and reappears on mouse movement. Available buttons depend on device capabilities and the user’s permissions:

Full Screen Expands the callout to fill the screen
Playback Mode camera:playback Switches to recorded footage playback
Hotspot Enables click-to-zoom hotspot interaction
PTZ Controls camera:ptz Opens pan/tilt/zoom controls
Presets preset:read Opens the PTZ presets side panel
Add Bookmark bookmark:create Creates a bookmark at the current timestamp
View Bookmarks bookmark:read Opens the bookmarks side panel
Settings device:override-specs / device:notes / device:alarms / camera:assign Opens the Camera Settings dialog
Cast display:read Opens the cast side panel
Dewarp — (fisheye cameras only) Applies dewarp correction to the stream
Arm / Disarm alarm:arm Arms or disarms alarm monitoring for this camera
Bypass Alarm alarm:bypass Opens the bypass dialog
Privacy Mode / Power camera:privacy-mode Toggles camera privacy or power state

Camera Settings Dialog

Opened via the Settings (gear) button. Contains the following tabs/sections:

Arm Bypass Dialog

Field Description
Duration How long the bypass lasts before auto-reverting
Suppress Events Checkbox — suppress alarm events while bypassed
